Now is your chance to bid on your favorite bear and bring him home all while supporting local charities! Raffle Bear and Quest 2011 prize winner names will also be drawn. Follow the Bear Paw signs to the Auction at Reidlbauers Resort in Round Top, NY. Main Street Cairo will be closed on 9/10, Auction day, enter via Silver Spur (from Rt 23 or Rt 32), Vernal Butler (from Rt 23) or Hearts Content Road/Rt 31 (from Rt 32.)

Take your chance on Off to the Races, the 2011 Bears & Butterflies Raffle Bear, by Don Boutin.
Off to the Races highlights the oldtime vacationland fun of Cairo and the Greene County Fairgrounds where the trotters ran, the pigs raced and the agricultural fairs were held.
The 1920s Off to the Races Raffle Bear is adorned with pocket watch, stogie cigars, binoculars, Green County Fairgrounds program and lots of cash! Painted on Raffle Bears back side is a day at the Fairgrounds with the trotters running neck and neck and the judges in the observation tower closely studying the results. Along the four sides of the base highlights area horse tracks: Greene County Fairgrounds, Saratoga, Monticello, Aqueduct, Churchill Downs, Belmont and Yonkers.

| Bears the Fire- Cairo Hose 125 Anniversary |

Come out the September 9th and help celebrate with the Cairo Hose Department: Main Street parade, a band in the Town Park and fireworks. Be sure to see Bears the Fire bear by Toni & Ted Weidenbacher & Jen Hyatt. Sept 10 full parade will many local and regional departments present. |
